If you’d like to tell us a little about your hair, your goals, and what you’re hoping to achieve, our new guest consultation is a wonderful place to start. It helps us get to know you and make thoughtful recommendations before you even walk through our doors.
Already know what you’re looking for? That’s perfectly fine, too! You’re always welcome to book directly.

Let’s Talk About Your Hair
Every great hair experience starts with a really good consultation, and this is something we take seriously at
Moss & Black. We want to hear it all! What you love about your hair, what you’re struggling with, what you’ve tried before, and what you’re hoping to achieve.

And please, bring pictures! Lots of them. Photos of what you love, what you don’t love, and anything that’s caught your eye. They help us understand your vision and make sure we’re on the same page.
​
Our new guest consultation forms are a wonderful way to share some of those details before you arrive. They give us a little head start, but don’t worry if you haven’t completed one. We’ll still take the time to get to know you and your hair during your appointment.
​
We’ll talk through your hair history, what’s achievable, your lifestyle, and how much maintenance you’re comfortable with. Whether it’s a new color, extensions, or a fresh haircut, we’ll work together to create a plan that makes sense for you, including future visits.
​
You don’t need to know all the right terminology or have everything figured out. That’s what we’re here for!
Your Appointment, Your Way
​Some days you’re in the mood to chat, and other days you just want a little peace and quiet. We completely understand!

Love a good conversation? So do we. Want to enjoy some quiet time instead? Just let us know if you’d prefer a silent appointment. We’re always happy to accommodate.

This might just become your favorite part of your visit!

Our Lather Lounge was thoughtfully designed to be a little escape from the busyness of everyday life. A peaceful, no-talking space where you can close your eyes, unwind, and simply enjoy a few moments to yourself.
​
Settle in beneath a cozy weighted blanket, enjoy a warm eye mask and soothing hot towels, and let the soft music and relaxing candlelit atmosphere do their thing.
​
And then there’s the scalp massage! One of those little luxuries that makes you wish your shampoo would
last just a bit longer.
​
No conversations to keep up with, no distractions, and absolutely nowhere else you need to be in that moment.
Just a little time to relax, recharge, and let us take care of you.
The Care Doesn’t End When You Leave
We want you to love your hair long after you’ve left our salon!

Before you go, we’ll make sure you feel confident caring for your new look at home, whether that means styling tips, product recommendations, or planning ahead for your next visit.

And don’t be surprised if you hear from us afterward! We love following up with our new guests through a friendly phone call or a handwritten thank-you note. It’s our way of checking in, answering any questions, and making sure you’re loving your hair.
