Alona Shimonov is the owner of is a licensed esthetician and a certified lash extension artist. In addition to this she is a fully insured, licensed Microblading artist and holds a tattoo permit. She has been a practicing esthetician in New York city for more than 20 years. She was named in NYC’s Time Out magazine and given recognition as an esthetician who gave the “Best Facial” in NYC.
Alona Shimonov has over 20 years of active experience in the beauty industry and was one of the much sought after estheticians in New York City. She had a passion for the beauty industry even as a high school student. Always interested in learning the nuances of the beauty industry, Alona decided to try her luck in the Big Apple.
As soon as she graduated from high school, Alona entered the prestigious “The Lia Schorr Institute in New York City ” and learnt more about skincare and brow shaping. There was no stopping her after earning the aesthetician license from here. She went on to do a course on European Techniques and Skin analysis, at the renowned “International Dermal Institute”. Then she studied Laser Skin Therapy, at “The Berkowitz School of Esthetics” . She got her expertise on tattoo removal, laser hair removal, and IPL treatment from here. She also has a Yumi Lash Lift certification and a Keratin Lash Lift certification from the Yumi Lashes Academy.
She started her career at the Bliss Spa, located in Soho, Manhattan. Alona had extensive, hands-on training with Marcia Kilgore, the founder of Bliss Spa. The time spent at Bliss has formed a strong basis for her career as a certified, sought after esthetician.
Alona then went on to work for Aveda. She spent 16 years, gaining valuable experience at the Paul Labrecque Salon and Spa. It is located in the Reebok sports club on the upper West side of Manhattan, New York City.
This is the time she was featured in NYC’s TimeOut magazine as an esthetician who gave the “Best Facial” in New York City. After a long and fruitful time spent at Paul Labrecque Salon and Spa, Alona went on to become an esthetician at Marc Harris, New York City.
